1. 다음 질환의 지혈 및 자각증상의 개선 : 위ㆍ십이지장궤양, 미란성위염

3. 위 생검 출혈시의 지혈
Dosage and administration (approved label)
1. 위ㆍ십이지장궤양 및 미란성 위염의 지혈 및 자각증상 개선과 역류성 식도염의 자각증상 개선 : 알긴산나트륨으로서 보통 1회 1~3g(이 약 20~60mL)을 1일 3~4회 공복에 경구투여한다. 경구 투여가 불가능한 경우에는 코 존데(sonde)를 이용한 경비투여를 한다.

2. 위 생검 출혈 시의 지혈 : 이 약으로서 보통 1회 0.5~1.5g(이 약 10~30mL)을 내시경적으로 투여하고 1회 1.5g(이 약 30mL)을 경구 투여한다.
Precautions (approved label)
1. 다음과 같은 경우 이 약의 복용을 즉각 중지하고 의사, 치과의사와 상의할 것. 상담 시 가능한 한 이 첨부문서를 소지할 것.
때때로 설사, 변비 등의 증상이 나타날 수 있다.

위산결핍증에서는 겔화(gelation)가 이루어지지 않아 이 약의 효과가 떨어진다.
3. 다음 환자에는 신중히 투여할 것
이 약은 카라멜을 함유하고 있으므로 이 성분에 과민하거나 알레르기 병력이 있는 환자에는 신중히 투여한다.
