Indications (approved label)
산소운반능과 적혈구의 보충이 요구되는 정상혈액량을 가진 빈혈환자의 치료에 사용한다. 특히 초과민반응(anaphylaxis) 또는 반복적 심한 알레르기 수혈반응을 예방(예, IgA 혹은 합토글로빈 결핍 환자가 해당항원 결핍 혈액을 구할 수 없을 경우)하고자 할 때, 급속수혈이나 대량수혈로 인하여 부정맥에 취약할 수 있는 환자에서 고칼륨혈증을 피해야 할 때 사용한다.
Dosage and administration (approved label)
1. 수혈세트를 사용하여 정맥으로 투여한다.
2. 사용량은 임상소견과 원인에 따라 결정된다.
Precautions (approved label)
1. 혈액형을 확인하고, 변색 및 용혈, 용기 파손 등의 이상 유무를 확인한 후 수혈해야 한다.
2. 세척 후에는 세균오염의 가능성 때문에 24시간 내에 사용되어야 한다.

3. 수혈 시에는 용혈수혈반응(hemolytic transfusion reactions)의 위험이 따르며 간염, 후천성면역결핍증 및 거대세포바이러스 감염증 같은 혈액 매개 감염과 알레르기성 또는 발열성 수혈 부작용 등이 초래될 수 있다. 또한, 과량의 수혈로 인한 혈액량과다증 등도 일으킬 수 있다.
